The Board of Walsall Supporters Trust were saddened to hear that our former manager Dean Smiths dad Ron had passed away recently.
Ron spent a lot of time at Walsall FC and was a popular figure with everyone.
We agreed to make a donation in his memory to whatever cause the family had decided on.
Today we messaged Dean today to pass on our condolences and ask where the donation should be sent to.
He sent back the following link to the Virgin Money Giving page
I clicked onto the link to find that the family, in particular Ron's wife Hilary has asked that donations go jointly to the Aston Villa Foundation and the Walsall FC community programme so they can continue their work in the local community.
