Walsall FC Sierra Leone

Walsall FC Sierra Leone is a Sierra Leonean Association Football Club based in Smart Farm, Western Area, Freetown. The team... is currently a non-league side.
Formed in July 2011 as the 'We The Best Football Team' of the Smart Farm Community, the team first started as a 5-a-side team playing locally based community league cup competitions and street football.
Walsall FC Sierra Leone moved into the Young Sportsmen's Club playing field in mid November 2011 after a successful start, previously playing at nearby Smart Farm 5-a-side fields. The SL Saddlers lost their first game 3-2 to a young Boston FC side. Ibrahim Balla Kamara scored the first ever goal for WFC SL in that match.
The SL Saddlers enjoyed a promising start in it's first ever major league cup competition in which the team reached the semi-final stage of the Wilberforce Community Development League Cup Competition in December 2011 in which the team only lost one of it's five games played, beaten only by Walsall Legend John Keister's Johansen FC at the Kingtom Academy.
After a review of the teams outstanding performances in January 2012, the team immediately named Solomon M.Mansaray as the first ever coach of WFC SL.
The team decided on the name Walsall FC Sierra Leone when local hero Ibrahim Balla Kamara came into contact with Trust Secretary Steve Davies online and due to his interest in English Football, in particular Walsall FC whose progress he has followed from afar for some time.
